My name is Johann Tasker. I’m a UK-based journalist specialising in agri-politics, rural issues, food and farming.

For the past 20 years, I have been writing about UK agriculture – particularly the policies that affect farming and the people who produce our food.

My articles, films and audio clips have appeared in print and online – and on TV and radio – both in the UK and overseas.

I’m chief reporter for Farmers Weekly magazine, a publication I’ve worked for regularly since 1997.

Other publications I’ve written for include:

Sunday Telegraph, London Evening Standard, House of Commons magazine, Rural Focus, Country Living, Countryside magazine, Crops, Caterer & Hotelkeeper, Green Futures, Lincolnshire Echo, Personnel Today, Poultry World,  Prague Post (Czech Republic), Lidové Noviny (Czech Republic), La France Agricole (France) and Business Week (USA).

I’ve also appeared as an agricultural commentator on Sky News, BBC Radio 4, BBC Five Live and a number of UK local radio stations.
